A pair of Nittany Lions earned national recognition on Monday.

Penn State left guard Vega Ioane and running back Kaytron Allen were named second- and third-team All-Americans, respectively, by the Associated Press. Both were previously selected first-team All-Big Ten honorees. With their selections, the Nittany Lions have had at least one All-American for five consecutive seasons, and 53 of the last 59.

Ioane took a major step forward during his redshirt junior campaign, allowing only four hurries and no sacks on 297 pass protection snaps, per PFF. He was also a solid run-blocker, making him a top prospect for the 2026 NFL Draft. Ioane also earned All-American laurels from the Walter Camp Football Foundation, CBS Sports, On3, The Athletic and Sports Illustrated. Many outlets, including the Associated Press, tabbed him a preseason All-American in August.

Ioane has already opted out of the Pinstripe Bowl against Clemson to prepare for the draft, where he’s projected to go anywhere between the late first round and early third round.

Allen rushed for a career-high 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns on 210 carries, adding 18 receptions for 68 yards. He also set the program record for career rushing yards, totaling 4,180 across the last four seasons as a starter. He was also named a second-team All-American by On3.
